A working group on Ukraine’s economic recovery has been established in the United States

The US State Department created a working group that deals with issues of economic recovery of Ukraine on a nationwide scale. About this stated Acting US Special Representative for Economic Recovery of Ukraine, Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources Richard Verma.
The group has already identified 20 key projects it is working on and plans to expand its activities in new directions.
“We must accelerate our cooperation with Ukraine in the area of investment selection, so that the reconstruction meets the needs of the EU and NATO in critical infrastructure. We must also develop special agreements with Ukraine to stimulate the participation of the American, European and allied private sectors in the reconstruction.”, – noted Verma.
He emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation in the field of exploration and investment in geopolitically significant sectors, especially in the field of critical resources. According to him, Ukraine is actively privatizing state assets, and it is important that this process promotes the involvement of the international private sector and does not create a new generation of oligarchs.
Verma also emphasized that in 2025, the task of the donor community should be to provide catalytic capital. It will facilitate the transition from state-led economic recovery to a private-sector-led model.
