Trump signs controversial tax and spending cuts bill

US President Donald Trump signed a scandalous government spending bill, passed by both houses of Congress, which provides for tax cuts and raising the national debt limit. About this informs Reuters.

During the signing ceremony at the White House, Trump said:

“This is the largest bill of its kind in history. It has never happened before.”

In his opinion, this document contains “the largest tax reduction in American history”, and he described the vote in Congress as “the greatest victory”.

Initiated by the administration in Washington, the bill, which Trump called “a single, big, beautiful bill,” includes significant reductions in the tax burden and government spending in several areas.

At the same time, the document envisages an increase in defense spending, in particular on the development of the Golden Dome anti-missile defense system. An increase in funding for border control and the implementation of measures to strengthen border security are also planned.

The bill would, among other things, fund measures to strengthen immigration enforcement, which is part of the Trump administration’s policy. It is expected that the implementation of the document will lead to the loss of health insurance for millions of citizens.

SpaceX founder Elon Musk, who previously served as DOGE’s coordinator for government efficiency, has repeatedly criticized the bill, especially because of provisions on increasing the national debt limit.
