“Cynical bill on dividing Ukrainians into classes”: Oleksandr Kochetkov

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has registered draft law No. 11460, which proposes to grant people’s deputies, officials, judges, prosecutors and reserved persons the right to freely travel abroad even during martial law. The document provides for amendments to the law “On mobilization training and mobilization”. According to it, the specified categories of citizens will be able to cross the state border without hindrance, regardless of restrictions related to martial law.
When a country faces war, every citizen should feel responsible and united. However, the new draft law registered in the Verkhovna Rada may divide society into two castes – those who remain and defend the Motherland, and those who have the right to travel abroad without hindrance. This causes outrage and questions about justice and unity. Such an opinion expressed political expert Oleksandr Kochetkov.
He expressed his outrage at the bill on Facebook:
“I’M SORRY, BUT THE GOVERNMENT IS JUST INSANE. Now I’m constantly receiving information about the extremely difficult situation in some areas of the front. That’s why the media report about the bill No. 11460, which allows free travel abroad to those who have reservations from mobilization in our country, that is, deputies, grantees , prosecutors and other authorities, I did not take this news seriously. But it turns out that Petro Poroshenko is at the top of the list of those who submitted the bill his entire faction, well, and even odious persons like Maryana Bezuglai.”
Kochetkov emphasized that he never hid his negative attitude towards Petro Poroshenko, but he never considered him a fool.
“Why pretend like that?! I don’t understand what’s going on. The draft law is frankly arrogant, cynical, anti-Ukrainian. It establishes two castes in Ukraine at the legislative level (!): “white” – those who have been in Europe for a long time and even exceeded the material there wealth, and “blacks” – who must die at the front so that “whites” can continue to live to their own satisfaction”. – notes the expert.
Kochetkov wonders whether the authors of the draft law are “completely bewildered by permissiveness and impunity.” He noted that the authors were not even able to predict what kind of negative resonance this draft law would cause in Ukrainian society, and emphasized that “those who need to leave on business do not have any problems now.”
Kochetkov concluded his indignation with the words:
“There will be no victory, there will be no prospects in Ukraine, if such provocative bills calmly appear in our country. When we have a Verkhovna Rada at all, in which such law-making homunculi are capable of being born. When we have a government that allows even theoretical division of Ukrainians into varieties”.
As Oleksandr Kochetkov emphasized, draft law No. 11460 causes sharp disputes and indignation in Ukrainian society. He questions the principles of justice and equality, which are the basis of a democratic society.
