The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has introduced an experimental project that allows citizens to receive the status of a person with a disability due to the war through the state portal “Diya”. In addition, thanks to the new initiative, additional services will become available to families of fallen soldiers, which will contribute to their social support. This was discussed at the Government meeting on December 10 reported Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
“We remove obstacles, speed up processes, give people the opportunity to use their rights without red tape and bureaucracy“, Shmyhal said.
Through the “Diya” portal, it will now be possible to issue the status of a person with a disability as a result of the war, receive cash assistance for the wounded, appoint a disability pension and use other services. In particular, citizens will be provided with means of rehabilitation, provision of housing and communal benefits, as well as assistance for the families of the fallen defenders.
The Prime Minister emphasized that this project significantly speeds up the process of receiving assistance, allowing people to exercise their rights without excessive bureaucracy. The government aims to make all necessary services available in a few clicks, reducing time and effort for citizens.
