Donald Trump says the US is fully prepared for nuclear war with Russia

US President Donald Trump stated, that the United States is fully prepared for a possible nuclear confrontation with Russia.
Donald Trump has confirmed that he ordered the deployment of American nuclear submarines in response to public threats by the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, which, according to Trump, pose a direct threat to US citizens.
He emphasized that in the event of threats to use nuclear weapons, the United States must be ready to protect its citizens:
“We had to do it. We just have to be careful. A threat was made and we think it’s inappropriate. So I have to be very careful. I’m doing this for the safety of our people. The threat was made by the former president of Russia, and we’re going to protect our people.”
The day before, Dmitry Medvedev published a post in which he mentioned the Soviet automatic nuclear strike system “Dead Hand” and advised Trump to remember his favorite zombie movies.
In response, US President Donald Trump announced the dispatch of two nuclear submarines “to the relevant regions”. He did not disclose the specific locations of nuclear submarine deployment, but expressed hope that Medvedev’s statement would not lead to unforeseen consequences.
