“EU” demands the dismissal of the head of the TSK on fortifications due to inaction in 2.5 months and to change the status of the commission
Officials withhold the answers, labeling them "for official use" and "top secret."

The head of the parliamentary commission from “Servants of the People” on fortifications and the purchase of UAVs should be dismissed, and the status of the temporary special commission should be changed to investigator. This was stated by the leader of the “European Solidarity” party, Petro Poroshenko, during briefing, emphasizing the need to urgently unblock the work of TSK, since 38 billion hryvnias have already been financed from the budget, and almost 90% of the construction work is not completed.
Poroshenko noted that the commission created in May of this year has not yet received full information from state bodies about the cost of materials and services and the volume of construction work. Officials withhold the answers, labeling them “for official use” and “top secret.” The commission has not met for several weeks.
“Where did at least 38 billion hryvnias, which the government allocated to the construction of fortifications, went to? They disappeared in inflated prices for services and materials, in the wrong choice of places for construction. And the result is 90% of unfinished works.” Poroshenko emphasized.
He added that tens, perhaps hundreds, of lives have been lost due to these problems. Today, the enemy is advancing in several directions due to the lack of fortifications.
Poroshenko also drew attention to the allocation of funds for road construction: in 2023 – 44 billion hryvnias, in 2024 17 billion hryvnias have already been spent. “They don’t build fortifications, they build roads because they learned to steal”,- he said.
“European Solidarity” put forward tough demands to solve the problem with the fortifications: to immediately restore the commission’s efficiency, to dismiss the head of the commission from “Servants of the People”, who is suspected of corruption, and to change the status of the commission to an investigator.
Poroshenko also emphasized that the temporary investigative commission should investigate corruption crimes during the construction of fortifications and the purchase of unmanned aerial vehicles. He emphasized the need to increase the number of the State Special Transport Service and support forces to ensure the construction of fortifications.
“I am at the front every week and see how our military works – brilliantly. They will do everything. Give them cars, money, materials”, – he said.
Poroshenko also said that officials who ignore the requests of the parliamentary TSK should be punished. The commission should study the prices at which the state purchases materials and works for the construction of fortifications.
“Today, the prices, quality and integrity of contractors should be examined under a microscope by a temporary, in the future investigative, commission”Poroshenko stressed.
