Russia destroyed 90% of the city of Kupyansk: Head of the MVA Andrey Besedin

In the city of Kupyansk, Kharkiv Oblast, about 90 percent of buildings have been destroyed or damaged as a result of continuous attacks by the Russian Federation. About this reported head of the city military administration Andrii Besedin during the broadcast of the national telethon. According to him, the situation in the city is not just difficult, but critical.

“The enemy destroys our community every day. Guided aerial bombs, artillery, rocket launchers, FPV kamikaze drones are used, which are directed at the central parts of the city, creating a deadly threat to the residents. Besedin noted.

He said that the day before Kupyansk suffered another blow: first a guided aerial bomb was dropped, and later the city was covered by the Uragan system. As a result, two communal workers died.

Besedin emphasized that the Russian army does not stop trying to regain control over Kupyansk, Kupyansk-Vuzlovy and Kivsharivka. According to him, this has a symbolic meaning for the enemy, which is why the attacks continue in all directions. The official described the number of shelling and the level of destruction as critical.

About 2,700 residents remain in the community, about 1,700 of them in Kupyansk itself. Besedin urged people to evacuate:

“I understand how difficult it is to leave your homes, but life is the highest value. Everything is ready for evacuation: there is housing, payments, a support center in Kharkiv, humanitarian and psychological assistance.”

He also reported that there are no postal and banking services in the city, and the number of working shops has significantly decreased. Kupyansk is served only by a social bus.
