Finland will transfer ammunition to Ukraine at the expense of frozen Russian assets

The Finnish government has decided to provide Ukraine with ammunition purchased with the proceeds from frozen Russian assets. About this it is said in the press release of the Ministry of Defense of Finland.
Finland has become one of the countries where the measures of the European Union are being implemented to supply Ukraine with military equipment financed by the income from frozen Russian assets. Ammunition will be purchased from Finnish suppliers, and funds will be channeled through the European Peace Fund. The deal is valued at 90 million euros.
“We were able to agree on additional funding to support Ukraine from Finland. The funds will be taken from frozen Russian assets. Products will be purchased from Finnish industry to increase employment at home and will be sent to Ukraine to help with its defense. I am very pleased with the result.” – emphasized Finnish Defense Minister Antti Häkkiänen.
He emphasized that Finland’s support for Ukraine remains stable and multifaceted.
“This new package, together with our national support program of 660 million euros, will create closer links between Finnish industry and Finland’s support to Ukraine. This is an excellent example of the capabilities of the Finnish defense industry, and it shows that our investment in ammunition production is paying off.” – emphasized the minister.
