Government supports pilot project on recruitment to the Armed Forces

The Government of Ukraine approved the proposal of the Ministry of Digital Transformation to implement a two-year experimental project on recruiting citizens of Ukraine in electronic form through the Diya portal. About this reported permanent representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk.

According to the approved procedure, citizens aged 18 to 55 who are not serving in the army or other military formations, have not been mobilized and have a desire to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine can become participants in the project. The project provides an opportunity to apply for military service under a contract, choose a military unit and specialty, without leaving home, using the Diya portal or a mobile application.

Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov announced, that in the near future special recruiting for units of strike drone operators will be launched through Diya. It is important that for this it will not be necessary to go to the territorial recruitment center or pass a military medical board. According to Fedorov, the new system will allow citizens to choose the unit they want to enter, and with a signed contract to go to the training base, without the risk of being sent to other units.
