The DOT announced the purchase of food for the Armed Forces of Ukraine for 22.5 billion hryvnias
The procurement agency of the Ministry of Defense “State Rear Operator” (DOT) has announced tenders for the purchase of food products for the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the second half of 2025 for 22.5 billion hryvnias. About this informs press service of the Ministry of Defense.
“The expected value of the products is UAH 22.5 billion. The Ministry of Defense has ensured the allocation of the necessary financial resources for the early announcement of purchases in the Prozorro system. This will allow organizing high-quality food services in the troops during the second half of this year.” – said the director of the Department of Procurement Policy of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Hleb Kanevskyi.
Purchases are planned for delivery to all regions, with the exception of Kyiv and Kyiv region, where an updated model of logistics support is already in place.
The new contracts provide for strengthening of product quality control. In particular, mandatory laboratory tests were introduced for sweet butter and hard cheeses, which received the most complaints from military personnel. Now products of these categories will not be able to enter the Armed Forces without confirmation from an accredited laboratory, which will reduce the risks of supplying falsified products.
The contracts also provide for the introduction of sanctions for suppliers who will replace goods without the consent of the relevant military units. The changes were the result of an analysis of the results of the first half of 2025, during which the “State Rear Operator” ensured stable execution of contracts.
