France is ready to transfer Mirage 2000-5F fighters to Ukraine by the end of January

Already in January, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine should receive the first three Mirage 2000-5F fighters, informs profile edition Legendary Airplanes.
It is noted that the planes will be transferred from the Air and Space Forces of France. In general, it is planned to supply about ten fighters that will receive Ukrainian markings.
French specialists modernized these fighters, adapting them for the use of SCALP-EG and Storm Shadow cruise missiles, which are already in service with Ukraine.
According to the publication, the supply of the Mirage 2000-5F became possible thanks to long negotiations between the presidents of France and Ukraine, Emmanuel Macron and Volodymyr Zelensky. These aircraft have become another symbol of military support for Ukraine, like howitzers “Caesar” or AMX-10RC tanks. In contrast to the mastery of tanks, which took only a few weeks, the training of Ukrainian pilots to fly a single-seat delta-shaped fighter lasted several months.
