From September, university students will undergo basic combined arms training

Basic combined military training (BZVP) for students of higher educational institutions will start in September 2025 and will last 300 academic hours. About this reported Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Brigadier General of Justice Serhiy Melnyk.
The program will consist of theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical course, covering 90 academic hours, will be completed by all students, regardless of gender, at their educational institutions.
Only men fit for military service will take the 210-hour practical course in training units and centers of the Armed Forces. Women will be able to join the practical part at their own request after a medical examination.
The Ministry of Defense notes that the training program will include basic knowledge of tactics, intelligence, psychological training, first aid, military discipline and weapons skills. After completing the training, students will take a military oath, receive a certificate and a military accounting specialty.
