G7 closes the way for Russia and its allies to profit from the reconstruction process in Ukraine

The Russian Federation and other states that support Moscow’s aggressive actions will not be able to profit from the large-scale reconstruction process of Ukraine. About this it is said in the joint communiqué of the G7 countries.

“We agreed to work together with Ukraine to make sure that no state or organization, or organizations from those states that financed and provided the Russian military machine, would be able to profit from the reconstruction of Ukraine.” – specified in the document.

The G7 also emphasized the importance of involving the private sector for the effective recovery of the state. In particular, the “Big Seven” intends to “help build investor confidence through bilateral and multilateral initiatives.” Among them are efforts to cancel the “complete ban” on the provision of insurance services in Ukraine by international companies as soon as possible.

“We will continue to coordinate support and promote the early recovery and reconstruction of Ukraine, in particular during the Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine, which will be held on July 10-11 in Rome.” – emphasized in the G7.

We will remind that in February 2025, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, announced that the total cost of the country’s recovery is approximately 500 billion euros.
