In England, a 3-year-old boy fell into an enclosure with crocodiles: the man who pushed him was released on bail

A three-year-old boy was in an enclosure with crocodiles at a zoo near Huntingdon in England. After the attack by a predator, the child received serious injuries and miraculously survived. This is reported by the BBC.

Cambridgeshire Police reported the arrest of a 30-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder. The name of the detainee is not being disclosed. The police noted that he is a white British man and, according to them, was not familiar with the child. The suspect has intellectual disabilities and arrived at the zoo with two caretakers. The man was released on bail until September 18, as he is “unfit for questioning”.

It is believed that after the boy fell into the enclosure, he was attacked by at least one crocodile. According to witnesses, zoo owner Tracy Johnson was the first to rush to the boy’s rescue. She ran into the enclosure and pulled the child away from the reptiles. Her husband, Andy Johnson, also helped rescue the boy.

A 3-year-old boy has suffered serious injuries, including a broken arm and pelvis, after a fall. The boy is currently being treated at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge. Doctors assess his condition as critical but stable.

It is known that there were large Nile crocodiles in the enclosure. Among them is a male named Romeo, whose length exceeds three meters. According to experts, even well-fed reptiles could attack a child who suddenly found himself next to them.
