In the first four months of 2024, more than 6,600 cases of theft and loss of mobile phones were recorded in Ukraine.

Kyiv leads the anti-rating with 790 cases (11.9%), followed by Dnipropetrovsk (582 cases, 8.8%) and Zaporizhzhya (566 cases, 8.6%) oblasts. Xiaomi (2.2 thousand, 33.8%), Samsung (1.4 thousand, 21.6%) and iPhone (less than a thousand, 14.2%) are leading among the most frequently stolen or lost phone brands.
Despite the significant number of cases, there is a positive trend towards a decrease in theft and loss of smartphones. In 2024, their number is 2.5 times less than in the same period of 2021, and 1.3 times less than in 2023.
A total of 29,015 cases of stolen and lost phones were reported in 2023, which is 46% less than before the start of full-scale war.
