Zelensky tells when to expect the first DPRK military in combat zones

The Russian Federation plans to involve troops from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) in hostilities in Ukraine from October 27 to 28. This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi in his address. published on Telegram.

According to him, this step by Russia is a significant escalation of the conflict.

On October 25, Zelenskyy held a meeting with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi, where he received a detailed report on the situation at the front. Particular attention was paid to the positions of Ukrainian forces in the Pokrovsky, Kurakhiv and Lyman directions in the Donetsk region, where the fighting remains intense. Despite the difficult conditions, the Ukrainian military continues to hold positions and actively oppose the enemy.

Regarding the situation in the Kursk region, Zelenskyi noted that the Ukrainian forces are fulfilling all the assigned tasks. The created buffer zone on the territory of Russia helps protect Ukraine from Russia’s attempts to expand the conflict on the eastern front.

Zelensky also emphasized that North Korea’s military involvement in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict is a confirmation of Russia’s unwillingness to end the war. According to him, this should not go unnoticed by the international community:

The actual engagement of North Korea in hostilities should not be met with closed eyes and confused comments, but with tangible pressure on both Moscow and Pyongyang to comply with the UN Charter and punish escalation“, Zelenskyi concluded.
