In the Dnipropetrovsk region, 6 informants who spied on the Armed Forces and Air Defense Forces were detained

Under the procedural leadership of the Dnipropetrovsk regional prosecutor’s office, six local residents were exposed, who are suspected of treason committed under martial law (part 2 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). About this informs press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

According to the investigation, pro-Russian residents of the region were recruited through the administrators of hostile Telegram channels to help carry out subversive activities against Ukraine.

The suspects sent their supervisors photos, video materials and exact coordinates of locations of Ukrainian military deployments, routes of movement of military equipment and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine across the territory of the region to their curators through messengers. Among the transmitted information were the coordinates of military facilities and air defense systems.

The channel administrator passed on the received data to the employees of the FSB of the Russian Federation, which helped the aggressor state in conducting subversive activities against Ukraine.

During the searches, mobile phones, computer equipment and other evidence confirming their involvement in criminal activities were seized from the suspects.

Currently, the court has chosen a preventive measure for the suspects in the form of detention without bail. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, it is being carried out by the SBU Department in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

It is worth reminding that according to Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
