Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation detained and reported the suspicion to a law enforcement officer from the Duben district of the Rivne region, who organized a scheme to evade mobilization for men of conscription age.

“The law enforcement officer artificially opened criminal proceedings against the petitioner, in which he fully repented and admitted his guilt. The crime chosen was not too serious and, taking into account sincere remorse, pseudo-criminals received 1-2 years of probation. Thus, during the investigation, as well as serving the sentence, there was no conscription for military service. A similar “package” of services cost approximately UAH 100,000“, the message says.
It is noted that if such a “client” was already wanted for conscripts, exclusion from the system was worth an additional 6.5 thousand UAH. The law enforcement officer cooperated with the head of one of the village councils, who introduced the “clients” to the fraudster. According to the investigation, the scheme has been operating since March 2024. During this time, the attackers managed to “process” at least 5 men.
On May 10, a law enforcement officer was arrested red-handed after receiving part of a bribe. Now he has been remanded in custody with the possibility of bail. He was also suspended from service.
