The Ministry of Defense announced the significant effectiveness of the “ePPO” application in protecting the Ukrainian sky
The “ePPO” mobile application, created to protect Ukrainian airspace from enemy drones and missiles, continues to demonstrate high efficiency. By in words Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine for Digitalization Kateryna Chernogorenko, the number of active users of the application exceeded 200 thousand, and the total number of downloads reached more than 600 thousand.
The deputy minister emphasized that “ePPO” plays an important role in ensuring the security of the airspace of Ukraine, allowing to achieve 80% efficiency in repelling drone and missile attacks. According to her, every message sent through this application can be decisive for saving life and protecting infrastructure.
“Very often, Russian missiles hide from radars in difficult landscape conditions, and they can be detected only by seeing or hearing. This is where Ukrainian development comes to the rescue. It has been operating for more than two years and successfully complements the existing air defense systems, providing information about inconspicuous missiles and drones”Chernogorenko noted.
One of the key functions of “ePPO” is the ability to warn users about potential dangers. For example, if a missile or drone is moving in the direction of a certain area, the program sends a “You’re flying” alert, which allows residents to quickly react and seek shelter.
Kateryna Chernogorenko called on all Ukrainians to load “ePPO” and be ready to use it during the next shelling. She emphasized that this is a simple, but extremely effective way to help the defense forces of Ukraine in the fight against the enemy.
