Information on the participation of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in combat operations will be entered into the Unified State Register of War Veterans (USVV) no later than five days after the commencement of the combat order. The relevant data in the register will be filled in by specially authorized representatives of the Ministry in military units, institutions and organizations that perform combat tasks in combat zones.
A separate procedure is provided for servicemen of the Armed Forces serving in structural subdivisions of the Ministry of Defense, military administration bodies, military units, higher military educational institutions and institutions subordinate to the Ministry of Defense. This applies to military personnel seconded to units in combat zones to perform special tasks, the Ministry of Defense clarified.
The department noted that such changes were established by the order of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine dated January 17 No. 28 “On the procedure for submitting information to the Unified State Register of War Veterans”, the purpose of which is to bring the procedure into line with current legislation.
