Ex-ombudsman Denisova is suspected of illegal enrichment for almost 10 million hryvnias
Ex-ombudsman Lyudmila Denisova, the head of the Ukrainian Center for the Protection of Human Rights and a member of the board of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, turned out to be a suspect in an unreliable declaration of 20 million hryvnias and illegal enrichment in the amount of 9.85 million hryvnias. This became known after the analysis of her declaration for 2023, conducted by the NAKC.
In her declaration, Denisova noted the existence of a debt for the sold car in the amount of 145 thousand hryvnias, but during the inspection, no documents confirming the existence of this debt were found. She also did not use the right to provide additional explanations or documents confirming the specified information.
In addition, Denisova announced the loan of 20 million hryvnias, which, according to her, was lent to her by Hryhoriy Ogyr back in 2021. However, Ogyr himself reported during the inspection that he never had such financial resources and did not lend money to Denisova, stating that he signed the receipts at the request of acquaintances.
Another financial obligation in the amount of 12 million hryvnias, which, according to Denisova, belongs to Nina Ankudinova, was also not confirmed by any documents. A check by NAKC could not confirm this information from other sources.
A similar situation applies to other loans indicated by Denisova, including a contribution to the authorized capital of Triora LLC in the amount of 1.49 million hryvnias and obligations to Anastasia Zagrebina in the amount of 17 million hryvnias, which were also not documented.
During the inspection, it was found that Denisova’s expenses and savings exceed her legal income by 9.85 million hryvnias. At the same time, she made payments on the loan in the amount of 6 million hryvnias, as well as interest payments in the amount of 1.45 million hryvnias, but she could not provide evidence of the legal origin of these funds.
According to the results of the NAZK inspection, signs of unreliable declaration and illegal enrichment were found, but the information has not yet been transferred to NABU and SAP for further investigation.
