The Defense Council of the Kharkiv region decided on the forced evacuation of 269 children from 29 settlements in the Kupyan district due to a security threat. About this reported Oleg Sinegubov, head of Kharkiv OVA.
The evacuation concerns the following communities:
- Kupyansk TG: 158 children from 10 settlements will be evacuated;
- Kurilivska TG: 41 children from 6 settlements;
- Kindrashivska TG: 70 children from 13 settlements.
The process has already started and 10 families have been evacuated so far. Evacuees will receive material aid from international partners, such as the UN, as well as humanitarian, psychological and legal support. For those who need housing, assistance is provided or evacuation to other regions of Ukraine is organized with the assistance of Ukrzaliznytsia.

Since May, after the escalation of hostilities in the northern part of the region, 15,031 people, including 1,282 children, have been evacuated. Similar measures have also been adopted in several settlements of the Donetsk region, where the forced evacuation of children in the Pokrovsky and Kramatorsk districts has been announced.
