Released on bail, Solsky still remains a minister

The High Anti-Corruption Court (HCC) has determined a preventive measure for the Minister of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine, Mykola Solsky, in the form of detention. However, Solsky had the opportunity to post bail, which he did. He is currently released from custody, but continues to perform his duties as a minister.

About this was going at the court session.

The court ruled that Solskyi should be detained for 60 days (until June 24, 2024 inclusive). However, he has the opportunity to make a deposit in the amount of 75 million 700 thousand hryvnias. Also the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk reported that the suspect has written a resignation letter.  The Verkhovna Rada must consider the application for the minister’s dismissal.

U Minagro reported that Solskyi, who is suspected of taking over state land, continues to work as a minister: 

For the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Mykola Solskyi, a deposit in the amount of UAH 75.7 million was made. The size of the bail is determined by the decision of the High Anti-Corruption Court. Mykola Solsky has been released from custody and continues to exercise the powers of the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine”.

We will remind that Solsky are suspected of illegally taking possession of state land worth 291 million hryvnias.
