Russia-friendly incumbent president wins Croatian elections

Zoran Milanovych, the current head of state, friendly to Russia, won in the second round of the Croatian presidential election. About this informs edition of Vijesti.
According to the final exit poll data, Milanović, who represents the center-left Social Democratic Party of Croatia, received the support of 77.70% of voters. His opponent, Dragan Primorac, from the conservative Croatian Democratic Commonwealth, won only 22.30% of the vote.
Exit polls were based on surveys of citizens after leaving the polling stations. The official election commission reported that according to the results of counting 74.61% of the ballots, Milanovych received 73.7% of the votes, and his opponent – 26.33%. In the first round, Milanović won 49.1% of the votes, while Primorac received 19.35%.
We will remind that Zoran Milanovych previously stated that Ukraine “has no place in NATO” and that in the event of an escalation of the conflict with Russia, Croatia will distance itself from the situation as much as possible, even withdrawing its soldiers from the countries of Eastern Europe (although they were not there). Due to this statement, he was included in the database of the Ukrainian site “Myrotvorets”, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine summoned the ambassador of Croatia for an explanation.
