On the night of March 23, the Russian Federation carried out a massive attack on Kyiv with the help of attack drones. As a result of the attack, at least two people were killed, numerous destructions and fires were recorded in various areas of the capital. This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
According to the official data State Emergency Service, in the Dnipro district of the capital, the wreckage of the drone caused a large-scale fire in a nine-story residential building. The fire engulfed the upper floors and the roof of the building, burning about 100 square meters of space. As a result, a woman died. Rescuers evacuated 27 residents from the building.
Also, in the same area, damage was recorded to an apartment on the sixth floor of a 16-story building — broken windows, damaged floor and ceiling.
A fire broke out on the 20th floor of a 25-story residential building in the Podilsky district. The fire covered an area of about 20 square meters. Firefighters promptly extinguished the fire.
As a result of the attack, a large-scale fire broke out in an office-warehouse building in the Holosiivskyi district, the burning area reached 2,000 square meters. A residential trailer and trucks on an area of 60 square meters also burned down. Another person died as a result of this fire. As of three o’clock in the morning, the rescue services continued to eliminate the consequences of the shelling.
In the Desnyan district, a fire was recorded in an open area in the forest belt.
In the Shevchenkiv district, two cars were damaged as a result of shelling.
Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko reported, that seven people were injured as a result of the night attack. According to him, one person was hospitalized, the rest of the doctors provided assistance on the spot.
In addition to the capital itself, shelling also took place in the Kyiv region. According to the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, a 28-year-old woman and a 49-year-old man were injured as a result of the Russian attack.
Three private houses and one car were damaged in Buchansk district. Another private house was damaged in the Fastiv district. A fire broke out at one of the enterprises in the Brovary district, which the rescuers have already extinguished.
According to the updated information of the National Police as of 8:40 a.m., three people were killed, including a 5-year-old child, after the mass attack by “Shaheed” on Kyiv.
