Russia massively attacked Ukraine with drones, missiles and KABs: explosions were heard in several cities
On the night of July 12, Russia again carried out a massive attack with the help of Shaheds, cruise missiles and anti-aircraft missiles. Explosions were heard in a number of Ukrainian cities, in particular in Lviv, Lutsk, Chernivtsi, as well as in other settlements in the west of the country. “Shahedy” were also recorded over Kyiv. About this are reported Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In Lviv, drones flew directly over the center of the city – for more than two hours, the work of air defense and the sounds of explosions could be heard. The attack took place in waves: the drones entered one after another.
“There is a report of a hit in the city. The main thing now is the safety of every resident, so I strongly urge you to stay in shelter until the air alert is over. The attack on the city – in progress”, – noted Mayor of Lviv Andriy Sadovy.
Explosions were heard in several districts of the city. Shots were recorded, in particular on the streets of Metropolitan Andrey and Olena Stepanivna. According to preliminary data, there are no victims. People were in shelters. Several people received first aid on the spot.
In the Railway district, a fire broke out on the roof of a non-residential building – the area of ignition was about 200 m². A number of objects were damaged, including residential buildings, a kindergarten, windows were broken, dozens of cars were damaged. The contact network was also cut off, which is why trolleybuses #22, 30 and 32 will not run in the morning. All necessary services are available on site.
In the Volyn region, an air alert was announced at 2:21 am. Lutsk was also subjected to a massive attack – the city had anti-aircraft defenses, explosions were heard.
“We have actually destroyed a separate private residential building. In some houses, windows were blown out by the blast wave and debris. A private car caught fire. The rest of the information about the damage is being clarified. Thank God, there is no information about the dead.” — reported head of OVA Lutsk Ihor Polishchuk.
On the morning of July 12, ten strikes were carried out on Kharkiv — two KAB aerial bombs and eight attack drones were used. The main blow fell on an industrial enterprise that has not been functioning for several years. Several warehouses caught fire. One of the “shaheed” also hit a critical infrastructure object.
“One person was injured in the Kyiv district – a person was hospitalized. Windows were broken in several residential buildings, several cars were damaged, and the city’s electrical networks were damaged.”, — told Mayor of the city Ihor Terekhov.
Oleg Sinegubov, head of Kharkiv OVA clarified, that as a result of the morning attack on Kharkiv, two men — 55 and 33 years old — were injured. Both were hospitalized, they are provided with all necessary assistance.
