SBU and UCP detained the head of one of the territorial departments of NABU detectives, Ruslan Maghamedrasulov

The Prosecutor General’s Office together with the Security Service of Ukraine exposed the delayed the head of one of the territorial offices of detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau — Ruslan Magamedrasulov. He is currently being charged with suspicion of aiding an aggressor state under Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

According to the investigation, Magamedrasulov, who heads the NABU unit located in the city of Dnipro and coordinates the work of the Bureau in the front-line regions, maintained contacts with representatives of Russia and conducted negotiations with the economic structures of the aggressor country regarding the supply of technical hemp.

In particular, he played the role of an intermediary in the illegal export of batches of technical hemp to the Republic of Dagestan (RF). This activity was organized by his entrepreneur father Sentyabr Magamedrasulov. In this way, the official contributed to the conduct of prohibited trade with Russia, which harms the national security of Ukraine.

It was also established that Ruslan Magamedrasulov had connections with Fedor Khristenko, a people’s deputy from the banned OPZZH party, who left Ukraine and now cooperates with the special services of the Russian Federation, in particular influencing the work of NABU. Law enforcement officers are investigating Magamedrasulov’s possible contacts with the Russian special services, as well as the alleged transfer of confidential information to them, in particular regarding the course of investigations.

During the documentation of illegal activity, it became clear that despite the confirmation of Dnipro, the official spent most of the time in Kyiv, and recently spent several weeks on vacation in the Canary Islands.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing. All necessary measures are being taken to establish a complete picture of the events and bring the culprits to justice.
