Switzerland and the Netherlands handed over 9 backup power plants to Ukraine

Switzerland and the Netherlands handed Ukraine 9 reserve power plants with a capacity of 600 kW to 1500 kW. This equipment was directed to ensure the gas infrastructure, informs press service of the Ministry of Energy.

“We thank our partners for the provided equipment, which will help ensure the power supply of the gas infrastructure in emergency situations, which is important at the moment, when Russia is mercilessly shelling the relevant objects.” – noted the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko.

Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, under the coordination of the Ministry of Energy, 1,706 shipments of humanitarian aid with a total weight of more than 22,000 tons of energy equipment have arrived in Ukraine from 38 countries.

We will remind that on March 14 acting Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine Roman Chumak reported that due to 17 combined attacks of the Russian Federation, production facilities for gas production were seriously damaged, but the situation remains under control. He also noted that Ukraine imports gas for the stable completion of the heating season.
