
The National Anti-corruption Bureau has declared suspicion against a people’s deputy, who is accused of creating a scheme for the supply of cable and conductor products for “Ukrzaliznytsia” at inflated prices. About this informs NABU
“The suspect and his accomplice, an entrepreneur, developed a scheme that provided for the supply of products to JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” at inflated prices. To do this, they entered into a conspiracy with members of an organized group, which was a kind of “back office” of the company, informally controlled its activities and for a certain a percentage of the purchase amount could ensure the victory of the “necessary” companies in UZ tenders”, says the message.
According to the investigation, in the period of 2021-2022, Ukrzaliznytsia concluded contracts with companies controlled by the entrepreneur, which supplied products at inflated prices compared to market prices. Due to the implementation of this scheme, the company suffered losses exceeding 140 million hryvnias.
