The CMU submitted to the Parliament the Budget Declaration for 2025-2027, in which it plans to leave the levels of the subsistence minimum and the minimum wage at the level of 2024
The Vice Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Olena Kondratyuk believes that the Cabinet of Ministers should find ways to ensure at least a small increase in the living wage and the minimum wage in order to cover the expected inflation in 2025 and 2026.

The Government’s Budget Declaration for 2025-2027 was submitted to the Verkhovna Rada for consideration, according to which the amounts of the subsistence minimum and the minimum wage will remain at the level of 2024. About this stated Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Olena Kondratyuk.
The Budget Declaration defines the priorities in budget policy for the medium term. In this case, we are talking about the period from 2025 to 2027.
“I cannot overlook the intentions of the government and the Ministry of Finance, which drafted the budget declaration, to freeze basic social standards until 2027. To leave the living wage and the minimum wage at the level of 2024,” the MP emphasized.
She believes that this is “too harsh an approach” at a time when electricity tariffs for the population and prices for basic necessities are only increasing. According to Kondratiuk, the state should support those who remain in the country and motivate all those who want to participate in post-war reconstruction and recovery to return from abroad.
“Such a social policy does not give people any hope for the best and only increases hopelessness. The issue of freezing social standards should be substantively discussed in the parliament,” the deputy speaker of the parliament emphasized.
She urged the Government to do everything to ensure at least a slight increase in the living wage and the minimum wage, which will help cover the expected inflation in 2025 and 2026.
