Today, May 9, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine dismissed Mykola Solsky from the post of Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food.

Before the people’s elected officials voted to dismiss Mykola Solsky from the position of agrarian policy and food of Ukraine, the official’s application for resignation was considered during a meeting of the specialized committee. Before the very vote for dismissal, Mykola Solsky reported to the deputies about his work.
We will remind that the dismissal of Solsky was preceded by the announcement on April 23 by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) ofvigilance regarding the acquisition of state land for UAH 291 million, as well as attempts to acquire land for another UAH 190 million.
April 26 The higher anti-corruption court chose a preventive measure for Mykola Solsky in the form of detention until June 24, with the possibility of making a bail of UAH 75.7 million.
This same day bail was paid for Mykola Solsky and he was released from custody.
