The daughter of Serhii Chebotar, former Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov, is a co-owner of the company that ordered the construction of a luxury hotel in the center of Bukovel. About this it is said in the Bihus.info investigation.
We are talking about the “Glacier Premium Apartments” hotel complex, which, according to Forbes, may become the largest hotel in Ukraine. The cost of one square meter in it will be from $5,000 to $6,000. The total building area exceeds 2 hectares. The project provides for 10 floors, 810 apartments, a spa area on the roof, a gym and luxury shops. The construction is carried out by the company “Glacier Hill”, created after the start of the full-scale invasion. Oksana Chebotar’s share in the company is 33.30%.
Oksana Chebotar is the daughter of Serhii Chebotar, who previously held the post of Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs during the time of Arsen Avakov. In 2015, he left his position at his own request. However, two weeks before his release, an incident occurred involving his son-in-law, Oleg Polishchuk. Then he attacked the film crew of Bihus.Info journalists and took away their equipment when they were filming a house built on the territory of a relict forest near Kyiv. This real estate was registered to Oksana Chebotar. The investigation of this attack continued for several years, but in the end the criminal proceedings were closed.
A similar fate befell the so-called “Avakov’s backpacks” case, which gained resonance already after Chebotar’s resignation. It was about the purchase of backpacks of dubious quality for the National Guard at significantly inflated prices from a company that had connections with Oleksandr Avakov, the son of the then minister. Among the key pieces of evidence in this case was a video recording of a conversation between Avakov Jr. and Serhiy Chebotar, made in the latter’s office. On the recording, they discussed a possible deal and the cost of the backpacks. However, during the investigation, the video was destroyed, and the criminal proceedings were later closed.
