The forces of unmanned systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced recruitment to the women’s unit
Forces of unmanned systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (SBS) announced recruitment to the female unit of unmanned systems called “Harpies”.
“Harpies” is an environment for women who seek to take revenge on the enemy, protect their children, families and the state, using unmanned and robotic systems. The unit also involves men, but the role of the pilots who deliver the final blow will be performed exclusively by women.” – says the message of the SBS command.
The unit is headed by Daria with the call sign “DShK”. She took an active part in the Revolution of Dignity and from 2022 performed combat missions as part of several special units.
Within the service, the Unmanned Systems Force provides professional training, access to various types of equipment, from FPV drones and heavy bombers to wing attack drones and ground robotic systems. Participants are also guaranteed financial support and social benefits in accordance with current legislation.
According to the Ministry of Defense, as of January 1, 2025, more than 70,000 women are serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, of which more than 5,500 are currently directly on the front lines.
