The Kyiv City Council has increased assistance to those mobilized from the city to 50 thousand hryvnias

Vitaliy Klychko, the capital’s mayor, at a meeting of the Kyiv City Council offered to increase financial assistance to mobilized Kyiv citizens to 50,000 hryvnias, and to nurses and orderlies – to 3,000 hryvnias.

“I am initiating an increase in the payment of one-time financial aid for mobilized Kyiv residents from UAH 30,000 to UAH 50,000. We will allocate these funds to the “Defender of Kyiv” program. Klitschko noted.

The Kyiv City Council supported this decision, and also approved an increase in assistance to junior medical staff of health care institutions that provide medical and rehabilitation assistance.

“Let me remind you that they receive 2,000 hryvnias from the city every month. We propose to increase the payment to 3,000 hryvnias,” – emphasized Klitschko.

The Kyiv City Council also decided to allocate more than 5 billion hryvnias from the city budget to support the defense forces. The funds will be used to finance the “Defender of Kyiv” program, social protection of veterans and subvention to the state budget for defense measures.
