Former head of the Vovchanskyi district court sentenced to 15 years for high treason

The Kyiv Poltava District Court found the former head of the Vovchan District Court of the Kharkiv region guilty of treason and sentenced her to 15 years in prison. About this informs DBR press office.
According to the materials of the investigation conducted by the State Bureau of Investigation, after the temporary occupation of Vovchansk, the accused began to actively cooperate with representatives of the aggressor country and contributed to the creation of a pseudo-judicial institution controlled by the occupying power.
It has been established that she urged other workers to go over to the side of the invaders, was involved in the formation of the staff for the new body, coordinated candidacies with the occupation administration, and set salaries. In addition, she organized meetings of employees, during which she demanded to obtain Russian passports and undergo training according to Russian legislation.
The pseudo-court never began to function – after the liberation of the city, she fled to Russia together with representatives of the occupation authorities. On the basis of the evidence collected by the SBI, in January 2024, the Second Disciplinary Chamber of the High Council of Justice dismissed her from the position of judge.
The court passed a sentence – 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of all property belonging to her. The public prosecution was supported by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
