Ukraine closely monitors the process of accumulation of missile weapons by Russia. By in words deputy head of the Ministry of Defense, Vadym Skibitskyi, the enemy’s arsenal currently has more than 200 Kh-101 cruise missiles and 300 Iskander ballistic missiles.
Skibitsky noted that the data on the increase of Russia’s missile stockpile, which were previously published by mass media, are reliable. Vadym also commented on the situation with potential strikes on Russian factories engaged in the production of strike drones. According to him, such enterprises are located at a considerable distance, which makes it difficult for Ukrainian drones to reach them. Also, given their large area, completely destroying the factories in one hit is an extremely difficult task.
“They have time to take safety measures, because by the time our unmanned aerial vehicle arrives, not one, not two, not four hours will pass”, he explained.
Skibitsky emphasized the importance of using more powerful weapons to achieve such goals, but noted that military methods are not the only means of countermeasures. According to him, effective tools can be sanctions, cyber attacks and information operations. Such approaches make it possible to significantly slow down or reduce the production of drones, which is a key goal for Ukraine in the face of confrontation.
