Ministry of Defense of Ukraine solidified updated Regulations on the Military Scientific Council. This permanent consultative and advisory body deals with the development of military science, planning, financing and coordination of scientific and scientific-technical activities in the field of defense.
“Clarification of the tasks and improvement of the work order of the Council will allow more effective application of a scientific approach to justify the most important decisions in the activities of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Special Transport Service.
We will strengthen the development of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, weapons and military equipment, taking into account modern scientific approaches and real combat experience. In the near future, the updated composition of the Council will be approved.” – explained the director of the Department of Military Education and Science of the Ministry of Defense Volodymyr Mirnenko.
The Military Scientific Council will be headed by the specialized Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine. It will include the director of the Department of Military Education and Science, representatives of the structural units of the Ministry of Defense, military administration bodies, scientific institutions, higher military educational institutions and military educational units of higher education institutions subordinate to the Ministry of Defense.
Three sections covering military-theoretical issues, directions of military-technical policy and issues of developing the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will operate within the framework of the Military Scientific Council.
