In 10 months of 2024, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine concluded 16 contracts for the purchase of domestically produced robotic complexes for a total amount of almost 300 million hryvnias. About this reported Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umyerov.
These contracts cover various types of robotic complexes, including reconnaissance and strike, logistics and other technologies that should significantly increase the effectiveness of combat units. According to the design, robotic systems will perform various tasks, such as reconnaissance, delivery of cargo, elimination of explosive devices and other dangerous operations, which will save the lives of the military and reduce risks for personnel during combat missions.
The Minister of Defense noted that all these innovative complexes are the development of Ukrainian manufacturers, which is an important step in the development of the domestic defense industry. The use of such technologies will make it possible to significantly increase the efficiency and accuracy of task performance, as well as reduce human losses on the battlefield.
These purchases are part of the Ministry of Defense’s strategy to modernize the army and introduce the latest technologies in the field of defense, which will contribute to the strengthening of national security and the development of high-tech sectors of Ukraine’s economy.
