The Ministry of Development and Trade is preparing new rules for technical inspection of trucks

The Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories is preparing a draft law that provides for the introduction of new rules for the technical inspection of trucks transporting perishable products on the territory of Ukraine. About this reported Deputy Minister Serhii Derkach.

“The law will allow technical inspection of trucks in Ukraine, according to European rules, and opens up new opportunities for our exporters.” – the message says.

According to Derkach, currently Ukrainian carriers are deprived of the opportunity to pass a mandatory inspection of transport for such transportation within the country, as there is no corresponding procedure.

“Today, Ukrainian transporters cannot pass the mandatory inspection of transport for such transports in Ukraine – there is simply no such procedure. They have to do it abroad, for example, in Poland or Romania. These are costs, delays, unnecessary bureaucracy.”, he explained.

The bill concerns the activities of about 8,000 companies and more than 70,000 trucks.

We would like to remind you that since July 1, cross-trailer transportation between the terminals of Mostysk in Ukraine and Forst in Germany has been resumed. It is about the transportation of trucks by railway platforms, which is an alternative to road transportation. Such transportation was already carried out in 2023-2024, in particular during the blockade of the borders by Polish farmers.
