The People’s Deputies canceled customs duties and VAT on the import of energy equipment into Ukraine
These include, among other things, power generation equipment, wind and solar generation equipment, and batteries.

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted draft laws that provide for exemption from customs duties and VAT on the import of energy equipment into Ukraine. People’s deputies Yaroslav Zheleznyak and Danylo Hetmantsev reported this.
Bills No. 11258 and 11259, adopted as a whole, abolish tax and customs fees for the production and/or repair of mechanized demining machines.
Zheleznyak noted, that amendments to exemption from customs duty and VAT on the importation of energy equipment into Ukraine are included in the draft laws. This applies to electrical generating equipment, equipment for wind and solar generation, as well as batteries (except for low-capacity batteries).
“The codes are selected in such a way not to harm, but on the contrary, to help domestic producers”, — wrote Getmantsev.
The bills also include provisions on mine countermeasures equipment and the manufacture of counterintelligence equipment. Tactical headphones and radio-electronic means of combating UAVs were added to the second reading, as noted by Iryna Gerashchenko.
“Ukraine is the most mined country in the world, and we need to increase the production of mining equipment and demining machines. The law exempts from VAT and customs duties the importation of goods for the production and repair of mechanized demining machines“, the deputy wrote.
These legislative changes are intended to support the energy sector and promote the development of the production of demining equipment, which is critically important for Ukraine
