Construction of the second and third defence lines is being completed in Zaporizhzhia region: head of the Regional Military Administration Fedorov
Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhia Regional Military Administration, said that the second and third lines of defense are being actively built around the cities of the region. He told about this during the telethon, noting that the main task is to turn the Zaporizhzhia region into a reliable fortress.
“The first task that was given was completed by the military in mid-summer. Currently, we continue to build the second and third lines and the defense of the cities of the Zaporizhzhia region together with the military“, Fedorov noted.
The official also emphasized that the number of defensive lines is not disclosed, but the fortifications are constantly being improved. According to him, in addition to protection against artillery shells and guided aerial bombs, the new fortifications are adapted to protect against kamikaze drones, in particular, special anti-drone nets are provided.
“The second line is already 99.9% finished, the third line will be conditionally finished in the coming weeks. Further, the defense of the cities is the one that is being built, then it will be completed within the time limit set by the General Staff“, the head of the OVA clarified.
We will remind that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are expecting a possible offensive of Russian troops in the Zaporizhzhia region, where the invaders will try to take control of important logistics routes.
