On the night of June 20, the Russian army once again carried out a massive attack on Ukrainian cities. Explosions rang out in Odesa and Kharkiv. It is known about the victims and destruction, informs State Emergency Service.
Russia carried out a large-scale attack on Odessa with the help of attack drones. As a result, more than ten hits were recorded, which caused serious fires. One of the four-story residential buildings was completely engulfed in fire. Rescuers were able to save three people, six more were evacuated. During the rescue operations and extinguishing of the fire, the structures collapsed – three firefighters were injured, they were hospitalized, now their condition is stable.
“A 23-story residential building was damaged – the fire covered the 18th, 19th and 20th floors. 600 people were evacuated. 3 people were rescued from the blocked apartment, including two children. The fire also engulfed 5 more residential buildings and 3 cars.”, – added the State Emergency Service.
On the territory of the partially destroyed building, the State Emergency Service has set up an Indestructibility Point. According to local residents, one more person may remain in the structure — search and rescue operations are ongoing. The total number of victims is 14 people, including three rescuers. Emergency services together with volunteers continue to work at the scene.
In Kharkiv, the Russian army attacked the Kyiv, Shevchenkiv, and Osnovyan districts of the city. Russian troops used Geran-2 kamikaze drones for the attack.
“The enemy struck 8 drone strikes in the Shevchenkiv district of Kharkiv. The roof of an uninhabited high-rise building is on fire as a result of the UAV hit. Civilian cars were also damaged as a result of the “arrivals””, — noted Oleg Sinegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration.
According to preliminary data, as a result of an attack by enemy drones in Kharkiv, 4 people were injured. Among the victims are girls aged 12 and 17. Medical teams provide the victims with all the necessary assistance.
Due to drone strikes, five private residential buildings and one commercial building were damaged. One of the drones hit the yard of a high-rise building, damaging about 50 cars and breaking windows.
“As a result of the hits, there was a fire at 4 locations. The roof of a 6-story unfinished building with an area of 1,000 square meters, structural elements of an economic building with an area of 10 square meters, 3 hangars on the territory of a civil enterprise with a total area of 1,500 square meters were on fire. In addition, apartment buildings and cars were damaged.” — clarified in the State Emergency Service.
