The State Agency for Reserves Management has officially begun its activities in Ukraine

Cabinet passed the decision to launch the activities of the State Agency for the Management of Reserves of Ukraine (DAUR) as a central body of executive power. Its activities are coordinated by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine through the First Deputy Prime Minister — the Minister of Economy, and its main task is the implementation of state policy in the field of reserves.
DAUR received the right to perform functions and powers in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On State Reserves” and regulations on the agency. He will be responsible for the formation of the state reserve of material values, which is necessary for the country and its citizens to promptly respond to modern challenges. His powers also include state supervision of the formation, storage, renewal and release of reserves.
“DAUR is a new institution created from scratch, which takes into account modern realities and needs of society, and is not influenced by the old Soviet system. The functioning of DAUR is aimed at transparent and effective management of the state material reserve and its control. It is an important tool for the state to accumulate the necessary state resources in time for the state’s rapid response to crisis situations, in particular during war or other extraordinary events.” — noted Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Vitaliy Kindrativ.
DAUR has already taken the first organizational steps: the agency is registered in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, its regulations, structure and staff list have been approved. 20 civil servants have been appointed, which is 30% of the planned full-time positions. The agency’s activities will be financed from the state budget for 2025.
