The supplier of low-quality stew for the Armed Forces of Ukraine was fined and deprived of the right to participate in tenders
The supplier who supplied the Armed Forces of Ukraine with stew of inadequate quality was punished. This was announced during a press conference dedicated to the anniversary of the rear support reform, reported Arsen Zhumadilov, general director of the agency “State operator of the rear of the Armed Forces of Ukraine”. According to Zhumadilov, the contract with the supplier was terminated, and the company was fined.
In addition, it is forbidden to participate in government tenders for the supply of products for the next year.
“From next year, together with our colleagues from the Ministry of Defense, we will make it impossible to supply stew with falsified documents. The tracking of all certificates issued for canned products will be implemented in the DOT-Chain system.” – emphasized Zhumadilov.
We will remind you that after the scandal involving the supply of low-quality canned goods, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced the strengthening of requirements for food products for the military. In particular, clear regulations have been introduced regarding the moisture content of frozen meat and fish.
The State Production and Consumer Service also received expanded powers to inspect canned goods supplied to the Armed Forces. From now on, the quality of food products will be under strict monitoring to ensure compliance with standards and avoid similar situations in the future.
This case became another stage in the reforms of the rear support of the army. The Ministry of Defense emphasizes the inadmissibility of supplying low-quality products to the military, as this directly affects the morale and health of soldiers.
