The winners of the Women’s Entrepreneurship Grant Program have been announced

65 Ukrainian entrepreneurs, including founders, managers and owners of small and medium-sized businesses, received grants in the total amount of $1,000,000 within the framework of the “CREATE!” program. It is aimed at supporting business in the field of production and processing.

At the end of April 2024, the program started, as part of which more than a thousand applications from women entrepreneurs from all over Ukraine were processed. As a result, businesses with high potential for development, as well as opportunities for export and import substitution, were selected.
“More and more female entrepreneurs are taking the lead, opening their own businesses. For example, last year women founded 56% of enterprises in Ukraine, this year – 59%. They are mastering new professions, where previously men statistically prevailed”, – noted First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyridenko
The entrepreneurs used the funds received within the framework of the grant program to scale up their activities. Thanks to financing, they were able to expand the range of products, automate production processes, improve product quality and enter new markets.
Grant program “CREATE!” was initiated by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine with the financial support of UMAEF. Implementation is carried out by the KSE Foundation together with JSC “Oschadbank” and experts of the KSE Graduate Business School. The goal of the program is the development and scaling of Ukrainian women’s manufacturing businesses. Thanks to the successful first stage, the initiative will be continued in 2025.
