“There is a high probability and many signs indicating that perhaps the Russian-Ukrainian war will at least be suspended in the near future.” – he noted.
According to the Prime Minister, regardless of the development of events at the front, Poland should be constantly ready for defense.
“Poland must be ready for defense, regardless of the events on the Russian-Ukrainian front. We cannot lose an hour or a day in this pursuit of a modern army.”, – emphasized Tusk.
It will be recalled that on July 29, the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed the hope that in the near future negotiations between Ukraine and Russia can be organized, which will contribute to the end of the war.
In June, during a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed the position of the Trump administration, according to which the conflict between the Russian Federation and Ukraine has no military solution.
