Ukraine and partners discussed the mobilization age: there was no tension

Ukraine conducted negotiations with international partners regarding a possible lowering of the mobilization age, but this issue did not become the cause of disagreements or tensions. About this stated the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Heorhiy Tyhiy.
According to him, within the framework of such discussions, Ukraine regularly informs its partners about the situation with mobilization.
“It’s part of the discussion as much as other topics like arms provision, strategy, defense, sanctions, deterrence, some other topics“, Tykhy explained.
He also denied suggestions that this issue could cause tension between Ukraine and its allies. In addition, Tykhy emphasized that Ukraine currently lacks weapons and equipment to equip the already mobilized military.
“And only after Ukraine wins, we will be able to come out and say: OK, this aid was enough. Before that, of course, we will always need aid.”, the official added.
Formerly Associated Press reported, that the administration of US President Joe Biden recommended Ukraine to lower the mobilization age to 18 years for the rapid replenishment of the army.
