The Ukrainian military can now submit an online request for transfer to another unit using Army+

From November 15, a new function became available in the “Army+” application for Ukrainian servicemen — submitting a report for transfer to another unit online. This innovation, which was made possible thanks to the cooperation of the Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces and public organizations, makes the transfer process fast and transparent. In the past, the approval of such requests took much longer, and the military had to go through numerous bureaucratic steps.
Defense Minister Rustem Umyerov noted, that the new function significantly simplifies the process of submitting a report, reducing it to 15 minutes and eliminating the need to visit different authorities. To submit a request, it is enough to have a military card or an officer’s card, a letter of recommendation from the new unit and a report from the VLK if the transfer is related to health. Unlike the previous procedure, the consent of the commander of the unit from which the transfer takes place is now not required: the request is automatically sent to the Personnel Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where it must be considered within 72 hours.
However, according to Umerov, there are certain restrictions for the transfer. For example, a soldier cannot be transferred if he has served in the unit for less than six months or has already initiated a transfer less than a year ago. In addition, in the case of transfers between combat or rear units, especially for officers, the Personnel Center may request additional approval.
The transfer function is available for those who wish to transfer from rear support units to combat units or transfer within different units in accordance with the conclusions of the VLK. In case of refusal, the serviceman will receive a clear explanation of the reasons in the “Army+” application, which ensures the transparency of the procedure.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, announcing the launch of this function, emphasized the importance of reducing bureaucratic barriers for the military, because convenient and accessible tools strengthen the army and make it more effective.
