Ukraine has changed the registration rules for trucks in the “eQueue” system

In Ukraine, the rules of registration in the “eCherga” system for trucks have been changed in order to increase the predictability of the waiting time and take into account the needs of the transportation of priority goods. About this reported in the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories.
The changes concern the conditions for the arrival of trucks with perishable products, vehicles with a transit declaration (T1), a TIR carnet, as well as cars of companies that have the status of “Authorized Economic Operator” (AEO) at checkpoints.
According to the new conditions, there is a clear order of priority passage: one truck with perishable goods and AEO/T1/TIR status, one with only perishable goods, another one with only AEO/T1/TIR, after which five ordinary trucks without priority are allowed to pass. In addition, the transport of the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine, which performs official tasks, will be able to cross the border out of turn.
Special attention is paid to avoiding abuse of the system, when carriers book a place in “eCher” without the intention of making a trip. This leads to an artificial increase in queues, especially on weekends, and makes the process unpredictable. The new rules are aimed at eliminating such situations. Currently, the technical refinement of the system is in progress, and after the completion of the update of the functionality, new rules will be implemented.
“Our goal is for every carrier to cross the border predictably and predictably. For this, we are constantly working on modernizing the eCherga system. The new rules take into account the needs of business, provide priority for a number of cargoes and will make the system more predictable. This is another step towards digital, transparent and efficient border management”, – stressed Oleksiy Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine – Minister of Community and Territorial Development.
