In the case of mobilization, men who were previously considered of limited fitness may be sent to rear units, where they will perform tasks related to the arrangement of fortifications. About this told Andriy Yakunin, deputy head of Zaporizhzhia regional TCC and SP.
He explained that after passing the military medical commission, some men over the age of 50, as well as other conscripts, are recognized as suitable for service in the rear – in territorial centers and higher educational institutions.
“Such a category of conscripts, after passing the relevant military medical commission, is directed by territorial centers to the part of the rear assignment, the part of support and provision. We also invite such a category to us (in the TCC)”. Yakunin specified.
According to him, the support units perform key tasks — from the construction of fortifications to the logistical support of combat units. Also, according to Yakunin, there is now a need for drivers, operators of various equipment and crane operators.
In addition, conscripted men aged 25 to 49, who are found suitable according to the results of the VLK, are sent to the training centers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. There they undergo basic training, after which they go to combat units.
We would like to remind you that men with the status of “limited suitability” are obliged to undergo a repeat VLK by June 6. This is due to the fact that the corresponding category was removed from the legislation. Now conscripts can only be recognized as fit or unfit. If the repeated medical examination is not passed by June 6, such persons may be declared wanted and fined.
